Halloween & The Playoffs

So Halloween landed on a Friday night this year. As much as we wanted to hang out all night with friends, the big playoff game was the following day, so we all needed our rest. Wes wasn't feeling too good, so he headed to bed early. The kids and I went trick or treating, then joined the Brown family for some yummy food and drinks, and some wonderful company. Hunter dressed up as his favorite wrestler, John Cena and Grace was a pink flamingo.

Saturday afternoon we headed to Berry Middle School for the quarterfinals game against the Jags. The game was announced (like they do at high school games), which was really cool. It was fun to hear Hunter's name being announced when he made a tackle.

Hunter and his team made a valiant effort, but ended up losing the game. One thing I have to say about his team and his coaches is that they have always lost with grace, and more importantly they have always won with grace. Unfortunately, we witnessed an awful showing of sportsmanship from some of the children on the Jags following their win. I am so proud of my son, his friends, and the men who coach them for always being a team with a lot of heart and plenty of class. The boys received some nice trophy's at the end of the day for making it into the playoffs.
