Daddy's girl...

Sooooo. I am super excited to share some of my latest pics with you all. I had the opportunity to photograph Don and Shirley's sweet baby girl this week. Coach Tim, a friend and enemy (see my other blog-LOL!) came to help. He used to work as a photographer and brought his lights and taught me a lot of things during the shoot. Anyways, I'm no preofessional, but I am so proud of how these pics turned out. Dakota was born with some joint anomalies in her hips and thighs, which makes it a little bit more difficult to put her into certain positions.. But as you can see, she is simply beautiful, and her Daddy is so in love. After four boys, he finally got his little girl.

Easter at The Butler's

Well, Grace woke up Easter morning and checked out her goodies that the bunny had left. Hunter had spent the night with Dylan, so he didn't see his gifts until later.

Grace saw this pic and said, "Wow! My hair looks crazy!"

I spent the morning making hashbrown casserole and lemon bars to take to the Butler's house. We also brought a bucket full of eggs for the egg hunt. We had such a fun time at their house, and really appreciate them inviting us over.

Spring Break

Well, we kicked off this Spring Break with Wes' new work schedule. He is finally on a Monday through Friday schedule for the first time in 3 years. We are so happy to have him home for a full weekend now. Hunter had a great time this week at nature camp. Thursday was Family Night and Grace and I went for hotdogs and to see what he had been up to all week. They handed out certificates, and 2 kids demonstrated the zip line, which is Hunter's favorite thing to do at camp. He was also on the winning dodgeball and kickball team all week.

Friday, my little sister came in town from Austin with her dog Bradie. We hung out at the house for a bit and let our dogs play together, before heading to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. Romo loved having a friend over to play with. I really enjoyed hanging out with Whitney. I can't remeber the last time that I enjoyed her company sooo much. It was great to see her. She's doing great and is set to graduate in May with a double major from UT. Right now she is waiting on her letters of acceptance to law school before she decides where she will be headed in the Fall. She's hoping to head off to California, and though I'll miss her, I know she will do great. I am soooo proud of her.

Saturday was a big day. First of all, it was Derrick's birthday party. Grace was soooo excited. He's been in Florida all week at Disneyworld, and she sure was missing her "best buddy". So, we headed to Chuck E' Cheese to celebrate his 4th birthday with him and his family.

Pappaw telling Derrick that he needs to "hang onto" Gracie. Something about "don't let the pretty ones get away." LOL!

Making a wish..

Mmmmmm. Cake.

After the party, we headed home for a few minutes of rest. Hunter went home with the Owens Family to play with Dylan. When we went to pick him up a few hours later to head to Jimmy & Theresa's, he wasn't ready to go. So, we let him stay the night over there. In the meantime, we headed to Van Alstyne for the yearly crawfish boil at J&T's house. On the way there, we stopped at the Allen Premiun Outlets and Wes got some new polarized lens sunglasses at the Fossil store. (Thanks for the tip Susie!) Jimmy & Theresa have moved further into BFE since we last saw them, but they had a great piece of propert. And get this people.. Their rent is only $450 a month. Can you freakin' believe that???

The first batch is ready!!

Mmmmmm....Corn, taters, and crawfish..

Crawfish or what Grace refers to as "Little Lobsters"

Now, for the good stuff. Look at these cuties that I got to love on and play with while we were there. Emma Sue even fell asleep in my arms, which her Mommy says is unbelievable. Apparently, she only lets Mama put her to sleep or her aunt that looks just like Mama.

Emma Sue--Look at those cheeks!!!

Caleb-Look at those eyes!!

We had a great time and really appreciate Jimmy and Theresa inviting us out. And now for my favorite pic of the day....Jimmy "gettin' some head" and Wes playing with a crawfish.

Grace in camo bringing Daddy a drink.

The sun is setting.. Time to head home.

After we left there, we stopped by the Owen's for a little bit. Grace got to jump with Derrick on his new trampoline and Hunter and Dylan had been having a great time together. Once we got home, we were completely exhausted. Grace and Daddy headed off to bed. I stayed up for a little bit in hopes of seeing the Easter Bunny.
