Oh boy is right...More like oh boys...

I'm here to give you a peak into what really brought us to be so involved in the world of peewee sports...the kids. Wes and I along with the rest of the staff for Hunter's team had a blast Saturday night during a team sleepover. The boys swam, ate LOTS of food, watched a film of Saturday's game, and the best part--had a dance off. As the team mom, I got to have the fun job of actually sleeping in the pool house with the boys. I slept on a futon that had six legs underneath it. I laid down at about 3:00 a.m. shortly after the last boy fell asleep, and was awakened about every 30 minutes as a different boy would roll over and kick the underside of the futon. Good times. Then at 6:53, the first boys tried to get up...Ummmm..No way!! I asked them nicely to lay back down and rest a little longer. By 8:45 everyone was up binging on donuts and juice, then heading back into the pool. Big thanks to Coach Wesley and his wife Lori for opening their home to 19 boys and the entire staff. We missed a few boys who couldn't make it, but the kids had an awesome time bonding as a team.

Time to party!

Let the break dancing begin.
The head spin!!! Go B!

Did you know Wes could break dance? Yeah, me neither. LOL!

And the first one is out...1 down, 18 more to go...
Ice cream before bed..And we wondered why they wouldn't fall asleep.

Thanks Coach Wes!
Video games (the morning after...)
See...Eagles really do fly.

A Quick Note: Thank you to all of those who have offered your hugs, prayers and support during this past week. We have learned a lot in the past week about the characters of others, and realized that the phrase, "Who needs enemies when you have friends like this?" applied to us. We also realized during this time that there are some pretty amazing people in our lives--people who put honesty and integrity at the forefront of their lives. They not only talk the talk, but they walk the walk. I want to give a special thanks to the Brown family for your uplifting words of encouragement, and also to the Judkins. Mrs. Brown, I read your e-mail last night right before heading to bed and it brought me some much needed peace. You and your husband have not only been wonderful mentors to us, but also wonderful friends, and of course you know how I feel about your daughter and grandson. I am so thankful that Wes has some honorable men in his life to look up to like Coach Roger and Coach Willie, who show him daily through their guidance and actions what it is to be a real man.

Sooo far behind...

Okay, it feels like forever since I've updated. Life is crazy with me and Hunter back in school and the kids rigorous practice schedule. So, this post will be short and sweet, but hopefully bring you all up to speed on what's been going on. First of all....back to school. Hunter is now a 3rd grader!! I can't believe how freaking big my baby boy is getting. Here are a few pics of him with some of his best buds on the first day of school.

Grace was really upset that she couldn't start school this year. She said, "It's just not FAIR!!! If they won't let me go to school this year, then I'm just not even going to go next year." LOL! She did pose for a picture with her friend though, as Gabriella started her first day of kindergarten. Oh and I almost forgot the pics of all of us posing with the Moose on his first day.

Now, on to football. Hunter's team is 3 and 0 right now!!! They are doing so awesome this year. He is having a blast. Last week, he caught a pass for a 2 point conversion. He was grinning from ear to ear. I was so proud of him. Grace is also doing really well the drill team and having a blast learning her dance and new cheers every week.
