Autumn is here!!

Well, as everyone knows we only get a week (maybe two) of Fall in Texas. It's hard to find trees with beautiful warm colors as most simply go from green to brown. But, right now I would say it is Fall in Texas, and I LOVE this time of year. I had a chance to do some cleaning on Wednesday. I got out my olive colored table cloth, and pumpkin container filled with potpourri, and lit some baked apple scented candles. It was wonderful! As I type, a cold front is moving into town and I can hear the leaves rustling outside my window.

So today Grace and I headed out for a walk along the trail by our house and to play at the park. I dressed her in a cute outfit composed of hand me downs and second hand finds, including the adorable shirt made by Susie. We've walked this trail a zillion times, and yet today was the first time we discovered this little nook with big rocks. I don't know if it's new, or if there was overgrown grass and trees hiding it before. Either way, we were thrilled to find it. I think Grace had more fun climbing and jumping off the rocks than she did at the park. It was also the perfect spot for me to snap some pictures of my pretty girl.

Chillin'

Don't worry about her on that swing. Despite her look of fear, she did that on purpose. She loves to do flips off of the swings. Before heading home, we stopped at the corner store where she got a cherry Icee. She was awfully stingey (sp?) with it, but I snuck a few sips and it was tasty!

Making a dandelion wish.
Her treasure from today--a leaf that looked like a feather.

So after our adventures, we came home and ate lunch. Grace took a brief nap, then we headed up to Hunter's school for the Third Grade Mini Mall. They have been studying money and the economy and today was their chance to put what they had learned into action. All the third grade students made items to sell. The kids in 2nd through 4th grade have been earning money with good behavior, and were able to come spend their money today. It was really cool, and Hunter sold out of his product within the first 5 minutes.

Demaris' friendship bracelet shop.
Amari selling Christmas ornaments.

Isaac was selling scoops of homemade goo.
I just loved the fact that she was standing underneath an "Atittude" poster. LOL!
His first sale.
Out of product, but trying to convince Ms. Aston she should buy a bag from him to put her stuff in that she buys from others.
