School is Over & The Kids are Another Year Older

Grace had her last day of school on May 29th. She had some really awesome teachers this past year and I'm so glad that she has been able to attend Kingdom Kids. They had an end of the year party and I also brought cupcakes for Grace's birthday since she's a Summer birthday. Her teacher brought out a facke cake with candles while the class sang happyu birthday to her so she could blow out some candles. It was very cute.

On Grace's last day of school she was playing with a baby that her teacher was holding. Her teacher said, "Gracie, you need to tell your Mom and Dad that you need a baby at your house." Grace said, "NOPE! My daddy's gettin' snipped!" She was right..The next morning Wes and I headed to see Dr. Pickens for his vasectomy. I got to watch the procedure which I thought from a nursing student perspective would be pretty cool. It was really pretty boring. It's a very bittersweet feeling--knowing that there won't be anymore babies in our house, but I'm excited about this next chapter of our lives.

So, Saturday we had some friends over for the kids birthday's. We had given them the choice of each having a party or getting a trampoline to share for their birthdays instead. They chose the trampoline..And as luck would have it, they ended up with a bit of a party as well. Since Daddy had an icepack between his legs and strict orders not to lift anything over 5 pounds, Don and Tim were kind enough to come over and put the trampoline together. I made tacos, cupcakes, and pina colada's. We all had a great time hanging out that night. Wes was in and out as the pain meds made him awfully tired, but I think Dakota enjoyed snuggling with her buddy. She slept for several hours that night and let her Mommy party with the big girls for a while.

Grace was so excited to open her Barbie.

Check out the look on her face when she realized it was a hoochie mama Barbie. LMAO!

Who doesn't love cash?

Hunter was just as happy to thicken his wallet.

Thank you so much to the Owens, Moore's and Butler's for making it such a fun night. We are blessed to have such an awesome group of friends for ourselves and our children.

Thursday, June 5th was Hunter's last day of school. He was also blessed with an awesome teacher this year. Mrs. Hensley was sooo awesome. I really can't say enough good things about her. She was the prefect match for Hunter. This year was pretty cool too, because Hunter met his best friend Demaris this year. They played on the same football team and were in the same class at school, and have a bond that I can see lasting for many years to come. I can't believe my baby boy is 8 and headed to the 3rd grade. The yeras seem to get shorter and shorter as time flies on by.

And as promised, we took Hunter to get his haircut once school was out. MISD doesn't allow mohawks or designs in hair..Hunter wanted both. Our little princess also decided she wanted a new do. I'm going to miss Hunter's shaggy look, but he certainly looks cool with his new cut. And Grace!!! OH-MY-GOSH!!! I freaking LOVE her new haircut!
