When is Gracie day?

This is the question Grace asked me last night. I was confused for a moment. Then I told her that when she was a Mama, she would be celebrated on Mother's Day and that when Hunter was a daddy he would be celebrtaed on Father's Day...which brings me to today's post. Sunday was Father's Day and so I thought today would be a great time to talk about Wes, the man I chose to be the father of my children.

When Wes and I met he had already been married before and had a son, Hudson, from his first marriage. I can remember thinking, "Oh boy...I am too young to be with a guy who comes with a kid." But...I kept on seeing him and falling in love with him..Then I met his son...And when I saw the way he interacted with Hudson, when I saw how much he loved that little boy...Well, it just made me fall more in love with Wes. I couldn't have picked a more perfect man for me, which is why I truly believe that God chose him for my life. I couldn't have picked a more perfect father for our children, which is once again why I believe God chose him to be their father.

So, I've put together a little slideshow, which I think says more than I can possibly say. Thank you Wes for being a stand up guy. Thank you for providing for us, for nurturing us, and for loving us with all that you have. Thank you for giving us a reason to celebrate. We love you.
