**10 YEARS**

November 28th was the ten year anniversary of the day Wes and I began our life together. I get that most people celebrate their actual wedding anniversary, but Nov. 28, 1998 holds so much more signifigance for us than the ceremony we had 3 years later. We didn't have some long drawn out courtship. We had one date, and we knew that we were meant to be together. Within weeks, we had already set up "house" (or at least he had moved his stuff into my place-LOL!). Knowing that I've been with someone for 10 years kind of make me feel old. Of course there is nobody else out there that I could imagine getting old with. Wes is my best friend..my best friend forever. He brings out my "smiling eyes", and he brings out that kind of laughter in me that radiates from some where deep inside. He has been my strength at times when I couldn't stand on my own, and I hope that I have given that to him in return. He has seen me at my very best and at my very worst, and his love has never wavered. I am blessed beyond words to have such a stand up man at my side on this journey through life.

We had our first date at Daddy's Jack seafood restaurant on Lower Greenville, where Wes was friends with the owner. It is seriously the best seafood I've ever eaten in Dallas. We then headed for drinks at The Old Crow, where Wes worked at the time and then for more drinks at The Grapevine, where we knew the entire staff.
A year later we celebrated out anniversary at Daddy Jack's, then moved on to The Grapevine to visit with friends and watch others drink as I was 3 months pregnant with Hunter and stuck to water as my celebratory drink that night.

So, this last weekend we made the rounds again. It's nice to still have friends in the restaraunt and bar industry as we had a great 10 year celebration compliments to some of them. A big thanks to Ronnie at The Grapevine for the champagne toast (even though I passed on it, b/c it gives me a headache), and the open bar tab under your name. We had a wonderful time, and look forward to celebrating with all of you-- where it all began-- for many years to come.

You're more than a lover. There could never be another

To make me feel the way you do.

Oh, we just get closer.

I fall in love all over, every time I look at you.

I don't know where I'd be without you here with me,

Life with you makes perfect sense.

You're my best friend.
