So, it seems that WTW is beginning to gather a following, and some of you voiced your disappointment that I had no new post this week. I have not been carrying my camera around with me as much lately, so tonight I am going to share my favorite white trash story with you instead.
In 1998, before meeting Wes, I took a solo road trip down to Austin to visit some friends. I had a great time filled with plenty of partying. It was, however, on the drive home when I was unable to stop laughing from a white trash sighting. Perhaps it was the partying still in my system that made it so funny.
Anyways as I'm putting along down I-35 in my Mazda 323 (it was half of a 626--jealous??), I notice this big rig next to me. The big rig had a flat bed and was transporting a mobile home. Don't laugh yet. That's not the funny part. We've all seen this before. What was so damn funny was the HUGE banner across the side of it. It said, "Dream Home Being Delivered". Seriously? That's some one's dream home?? When you sat down and thought about if you had a million dollars and could live wherever you wanted, this is what you dreamed about...??? I have included an interpretive drawing of what I saw that day. I hope you all enjoy it.
